The district of Bela Vista lacked a health center, the Fundacao Minhembeti took this into consideration and donated a health center Type II to the district of Matutuine. The first ever health center with a maternity was built in Salamanga in 2013, this project provided security to the population and stability with their health. As previously their only way to access a hospital was to travel to the nearest bigger city of Maputo (located 60 km from Salamanga). The total cost of this project was USD $297,500.00. The Fundação Minhembeti made this investment in order to help the population feel more comfortable in their own home and allow them to trust that the Fundação is here to help the people.
