The Fundação is run on the principles of humanity, altruism and modesty, which are based on Hinduism and of the values imposed by Gurudev Shree Acharya Nathooram Sharma. Our main goals are:
Salamanga is located in the outskirts of the capital city Maputo and it allows individuals to take a beautiful journey into the countryside of South of Mozambique. One of the main on going projects of the Fundação is providing clean water for the population and agriculture. For the past five years the local community has been drinking cholera free water through a water fountain, this ensures the population does not fall sick and children are able to create a healthy lifestyle. By expanding the agriculture the Fundação is creating jobs for the unemployment community; the plantation of many vegetables goes into further use by being sold in local supermarkets at an extremely reasonable price. The Fundação is an all-vegetarian organisation including the non-consumption of eggs. The local community is educated about the healing power of plants and herbs and the use of these products as home remedies.
Volunteers donate not only their time and their generosity, but they respond to a fundamental human impulse: the will to collaborate, to help, to share joy, to alleviate suffering and to improve the quality of life in common.
